Two days in Dalian

On the first day in Dalian, we visited Mount Jiguan to look at some historical war memorial. There wasn't much of a view from the top. On the second day, we took a scenic drive on a road that overlooks the city. Afterwards we stopped at this huge square on the waterfront

At the waterfront, one can see the odd shaped building that looks like a skateboard.

The Dalian Shell museum is located at the waterfront. Our tour group wanted to visit, but the tour leader said it was undergoing renovations and therefore closed. The groups of schoolkids lined up to go inside suggest otherwise.
