Well, we made it to Harbin, China today. The seems to be very new with lots of apartment buildings and wide boulevards. Today we visited St. Sophia Cathedral, but most of it was being renovated, so it was covered in scafoldding. Then we walked along Harbin Central shopping street and visited flood control plaza. After lunch, we visited the Sun Island Theme Park, capped off by seeing a large array of ice sculptures. I wasn't impressed with the Sun Island theme park and would have preferred to seeing the Opera house architecture or seeing the Dragon Tower. I managed to snap a pic of the Harbin opera house from the bus. So close yet so far.
Another long day, but here's a few pics from today.
